My goal is to create a vessel that is completely unreliant of outside sources.
It's got solar panels for electricity, a composting toilet and a water still to desalinate and purify seawater (amongst other things).
Adding these items will throw expenses thru the roof but they will most definitely pay off in the long run!
Once they're purchased, they are mine!
Aside from eventual maintenance,
Solar energy: free
Composting toilet: free (no fees since there is no blackwater (sewage) to dispose of)
Potable Water: free (water water everywhere+just a bit of knowledge on condensation)
I will have to figure out the specifics (water and electric consumption per week, for example) but that's for a later post.
